Noise
Check the cardan shaft for dents and cracks. If any are found, replace the cardan shaft assembly. Publishing House "Monolith"
If the intermediate support bearing is noisy or shows signs of damage, replace it.
Vibration
If vibration is observed at high speed, the shaft runout should first be checked.
1. Measure the maximum runout value and determine the section with the maximum runout by rotating the main gear flange by hand.

Note: Maximum permissible runout of the cardan shaft: 0.6 mm.
2. If the runout exceeds the maximum permissible value, disconnect the cardan shaft from the drive axle gearbox flange or the transfer case flange, then turn the flange 90, and then reinstall the shaft.
3. Measure the runout value again. If the runout still exceeds the maximum permissible value, replace the driveshaft assembly.
4. Check the vibration of the driveshaft during a test drive.
Runout measurement points
In the figure below, the symbol "A" indicates the points for measuring the runout of the cardan shaft.
Versions with MR20DE engine:
A = 200mm.
H = 639 mm.
C = 159 mm.
Versions with M9R engine:
A = 495mm.
H = 416mm.
