Removing
1. Discharge the refrigerant into the HFC-134a recovery/charge unit.
2. Remove the lower right engine protection.
3. Remove the compressor belt (models with SR engine: also remove the alternator belt).
4. Disconnect the high and low pressure hoses from the compressor.
Caution: Seal the ends of the tubes with plugs or wrap them with vinyl tape to prevent air ingress.
5. Disconnect the connector from the compressor.
6. Turn off fixing bolts and remove the compressor from under the bottom of the car.
Installation
Attention:
Replace the O-rings on the high and low pressure hoses with new ones, then coat them with compressor oil and reinstall.
After installation, adjust the tension of the compressor drive belt.
When adding refrigerant, check for leaks.
Compressor mounting bolts:
: 50-68 N-m (5.1-6.9 kg m)
Fixing bolts for high and low pressure hoses:
: 7,8-19,6 N-m (0.8-2.0 kg m)
