Refrigerant line connections

1. Before disconnecting the refrigerant lines, discharge the A/C system in a qualified workshop.
2. The refrigerant line connections are shown in the illustration above. Replace the sealing rings after removing the hoses and tubes.

3. Remove the air duct (see Chapter Fuel and exhaust systems) and disconnect the A/C compressor wiring connector.
4. Loosen the flexible hoses to the compressor and disconnect them. Plug the open holes.
Note: The illustration in point 3 shows the compressor of models without automatic air conditioning. On models with automatic air conditioning, the hoses are secured with bolts.

5. Remove the compressor drive belt (see Chapter Engine), unscrew its mounting bolts) and remove the compressor from under the car.
6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. After installation, check and, if necessary, adjust the tension of the compressor drive belt (see Chapter Vehicle settings and routine maintenance).
