Disassembly
1. Models with active suspension: remove the drive bushing from the shock absorber.
Wrap the sleeve with a cloth and secure it in a vise.
Caution: Do not damage the bushing while clamping in the vise.
Unscrew the fixing nut of the drive sleeve and remove the sleeve from the shock absorber.
2. Wrap a cloth around the bottom of the shock absorber and secure it in a vise.
Caution: Do not clamp the shock absorber body in a vise.
3. Loosen the piston rod jam nut, remove the washer, upper bushing, bracket, spacer, lower bushing, bumper cover and bumper from the shock absorber.
Examination
Check for cracks, deformation, cracks and other damage on the piston rod. Replace if necessary.
Assembly
Assembly is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Make sure the drive hub is positioned as shown.
After installing the shock absorber on the car, apply silicone grease (8090 or equivalent) on the surface of the bracket and body panel.
