Removing
1. Slide the spring seat and remove the ABS protective cover.
2. Models with active suspension: remove the drive from the hub.
Caution: Do not strike the drive.
3. Support the trailing arm with a jack. Remove the shock absorber from the trailing arm and from the vehicle.
Examination
Check the shock absorber for cracks, deformation or other damage. Replace shock absorber if necessary.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
After installation, make the final tightening of bolts and nuts on an unladen vehicle with tires on the ground. Check wheel alignment.
Install the drive in the following order.
1) Insert the actuator along the axis of the piston rod until the actuator contacts the sleeve.
Attention: Insert the drive without distortion.
2) Make sure the actuator is firmly seated on the piston rod.
3) Rotate the actuator clockwise so as not to damage the piston rod and actuator O-ring, and fit the actuator firmly onto the bushing.
4) After installation, make sure the drives are positioned as shown.
