Disassembly
1. Using a punch (special tool) and suitable pullers, press the inner bearing race out of the wheel hub.
2. Using a screwdriver, remove the retaining rings from the trailing arm
Caution: Do not damage the trailing arm with the screwdriver.
3. Remove the support shield from the longitudinal arm.
4. Using a punch (special tool) press the bearing out of the trailing arm.
Examination
Wheel hub
Check the wheel hub for deformation, cracks or other damage. If any defects are found, replace the wheel hub.
Retaining rings
Check the retaining rings for deformation, cracks or other damage. Replace if any defects are found.
Trailing arm
Check the lever for deformation, cracks or other damage. Replace if any defects are found.
Assembly
1. Using a screwdriver or similar tool, install the retaining ring into the trailing arm from the outside.
Caution: Do not damage the trailing arm with the screwdriver.
2. Using a punch (special tool) press the bearing into the trailing arm.
Caution: Do not reuse the bearing, replace it with a new one.
3. Using a screwdriver or similar tool, install the retaining ring into the longitudinal arm from the inside.
Caution: Do not damage the trailing arm with the screwdriver.
4. Install the support shield on the longitudinal arm.
5. Using a punch (special tool) press the wheel hub into the trailing arm.
