Removing
1. Remove wheels. Disconnect the brake pipes, remove the parking brake cables and ABS sensor wiring from the trailing arms.
2. Remove cotter pin from drive shaft. With a wrench (special tool) unscrew the hub locknut.
3. Remove the brake drum from the wheel hub.
4. Remove the parking brake cable and brake shoes from the support shield.
5. Disconnect brake pipes from the working cylinder.
Attention:
After disconnecting the pipes, do not allow brake fluid to enter the paintwork areas.
Do not depress the brake pedal after disconnecting the brake pipes.
6. In case of disassembly of the trailing arm, remove the wheel hub from it using special tools.
7. Remove the ABS sensor from the trailing arm.
8. Jack up the trailing arm and remove the shock absorber from it.
9. Remove the trailing arm bracket from the vehicle, loosen the mounting bolts and nuts of the upper and lower arms.
10. Slowly lower the jack, remove the spring from the trailing arm.
11. Turn off fixing bolts and nuts of the top and bottom levers and remove the longitudinal lever from the car.
12. Remove the bracket from the trailing arm.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following.
Tighten the trailing arm bracket mounting bolts in the order shown in fig.
Attention: Tighten bolt 1 by hand, tighten bolts 2, 3 and 4 to the required torque. Then tighten bolt 1.
After installation, make the final tightening of bolts and nuts on an unladen vehicle with tires on the ground. Check wheel alignment and bleed air from brake system.
When installing the brake pipe bracket, do not deform it.
Pay attention to the following when installing the spring.
1) Align the protrusion of the spring seat and the hole of the trailing arm.
2) The mark on the spring should be pointing down.
3) Make sure the spring seats and spring seats are positioned as shown.
4) Make sure the rubber spring seats are positioned as shown in the illustration.
5) Align the centers of the spring and bracket.
6) Check the tightness of the spring seat and bracket.
After installing the axle, before installing the parts of the brake system, check the torque of the hub.
1) Rotate the hub 10 times in both directions to ensure a good fit.
2) Hook the dynamometer to the hub bolt and measure the torque at a frequency of 10±2 rpm.
- Torque: less than 2.125 Nm (0.217 kgm)
- Dynamometer reading: less than 37.2 N (3.80 kg)
