Lighting system — general information (Nissan Serena C24)

Attention:

Do not perform maintenance with wet hands.

Xenon headlights have a section where high voltage is generated. Be careful when removing and installing. Beforehand, you should disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery or remove the fuse of the power source.

When the xenon headlight is on, do not touch the wiring, the bulb itself or the socket with bare hands.

To replace the bulb, remove the xenon headlight itself.

Insert the lamp tightly; if the xenon lamp is not inserted tightly into the socket, high voltage current leakage or corona discharge will occur. This
may cause the bulb and/or socket to melt. Do not turn on the xenon headlight without the bulb in the housing. Turning on the bulb without the headlight may cause a fire and eye damage.

Moisture entering the HID control unit will not cause malfunction.

When disposing of the lamp, do not break it. Place the lamp in a plastic bag and seal it tightly.

Do not touch the glass bulb of the lamp directly with your hands and do not allow oil or grease to come into contact with it. Also, do not touch the lamp with your hands immediately after turning it off, as it is very hot.

Do not remove the bulb from the headlight reflector for a long time, as dust, moisture, smoke, etc. that gets inside may adversely affect the performance of the headlight. Remove the bulb from the headlight reflector immediately before installing a new bulb.

Adjust the headlight beam direction using the adjusting screws. (First tighten the screw, then adjust by loosening it).

Do not clean headlights or remove sealant with organic solvents (solvent, gasoline, etc.).

When replacing a bulb, grasp only its socket and pull it out at a right angle. If you pull it out at an angle, pulling on the wiring, it may fall into the headlight and be difficult to remove.
