- Change interval: every 60,000 km.
Compression
1. Warm up the engine to operating temperature and turn it off.
2. Remove the resonator from the valve box cover.
4. Remove the spark plugs.
Attention: Before removing, blow out the areas where the spark plugs are installed with compressed air.
4. Install a tachometer or connect the CONSULT tester.
5. Before measurement, disconnect the intermediate wiring connector of the injectors to prevent fuel injection.
6. Connect the compression tester to the adapter and insert it into the spark plug hole.
7. Press the accelerator pedal all the way down, turn the ignition key to the «START» and turn the crankshaft of the engine with the starter. Read the compression gauge and engine speed. In the same way check up a compression in other cylinders.
Compression (MPa (kg/cm2) /about. in min.):
- Standard: 1.27 (13,0) /300
- Limit: 1.08 (11,0) /300
- Limit difference between cylinders: 0.10 (1,0) /300
If the engine speed is abnormal, check the battery charge and repeat the measurements.
If the compression is abnormal, check the valves, valve clearances, valve seats, hydraulic lifters, pistons, piston rings, cylinder diameters, cylinder head, cylinder head gasket, etc., then repeat the measurements.
