1. Connect the red start cable terminal to the positive pole of the discharged battery.
2. Connect the other terminal of the red starter cable to the positive pole of the booster (launcher) batteries.
3. Connect the black starter cable terminal to the negative pole of the booster battery.
4. Connect the other terminal of the black cable to a bolt or bracket on the cylinder block of the engine being started, at a sufficient distance from the booster battery.
5. Make sure the starter cables are far enough away from the fan, belts and other moving parts and cannot come into contact with them.
6. Start the engine on the booster battery, idle and disconnect the cables in reverse order.
When starting the engine with a booster battery, observe the following precautions:
Make sure the ignition is off before connecting the auxiliary battery.
Make sure all users (headlights, heater, windshield wipers, etc.) disabled.
Make sure the voltage rating of the booster battery is the same as the battery in your vehicle.
If the engine will be started from a battery installed on another car, then the car bodies should not touch.
Make sure the gearshift lever is in the neutral position (or in the Park position if the car is equipped with an automatic transmission).
