Normal movement
1. Press the brake pedal with your right foot.
Warning: When starting to move, do not shift the automatic transmission selector lever with the gas pedal pressed. This may cause the car to jerk sharply and create an emergency situation.
2. To move forward, move the selector lever to position D, 2, or 1, and if you want to move backward, move it to position R. Use the indicator on the instrument panel to make sure the lever is in the correct position.
Note: If the automatic transmission selector lever is set to position D, 2.1, L, R, the car will be ready to move. The traction force will be greater at the initial stage after starting the engine or, for example, when turning on the air conditioner, so in such cases press the brake pedal harder.
3. Release the parking brake.
4. To start moving, smoothly release the brake pedal and lightly press the accelerator pedal.
Starting off on a steep climb
1. Determine the position of the automatic transmission selector lever using the indicator.
Caution: Do not hold the vehicle on a steep incline using the accelerator pedal, as this may damage the transmission.
2. With the parking brake applied, slowly release the brake pedal.
3. Slowly press the gas pedal and make sure the car is ready to move.
4. Release the parking brake and start driving.
