Normal movement
The movement is made after the selector lever is in position D.
The movement of the car is accelerated and slowed down only by the gas and brake pedals. When you press the gas pedal, automatic gear shifting occurs in accordance with the speed of movement.
Attention:
When driving at high speed on a car with automatic transmission, do not switch the selector lever to position 2 or 1, and on a car with CVT to position L, because. there will be a sharp braking by the engine, wheel slip, exceeding the critical engine speed.
While driving, do not switch the selector lever to position N, because. the effect of engine braking will completely disappear, which can lead to unforeseen consequences.
Sharp acceleration
While driving, press the gas pedal sharply to the stop. This will shift to a lower gear and the car will accelerate sharply.
Attention: Do not make sudden accelerations on slippery roads. wheel spin is possible, which can lead to an accident.
Note: When shifting to a lower gear, the engine speed rises sharply.
Movement on the rise
If when driving uphill (selector lever in position D) speed starts to decrease, press the accelerator pedal all the way down. In this case, the gearbox will automatically switch to a lower gear corresponding to the steepness of the slope.
Models with automatic transmission
If frequent automatic gearshifts occur while driving, depending on the slope of the hill, either disengage the overdrive or move the selector lever to position 2.
Models with CVT
If you press the SPORT button on a steep hill, the vehicle will switch to sport driving mode depending on the steepness of the hill.
Downhill driving
When descending, use engine braking.
Models with automatic transmission
Depending on the slope of the descent, move the selector lever to position 2 or 1. If the descent is very steep and strong engine braking is required, set the selector lever to position 1.
If the descent is gentle and weak braking is required, then it is enough to turn off the overdrive.
Models with CVT
When the gas pedal is released, engine braking is automatically applied even if the selector lever is in position D.
When sport mode is activated, low engine braking is also active.
If the descent is very steep and strong engine braking is required, move the selector lever to position L.
Attention:
While driving, do not switch the selector lever to position N, because. the engine braking will stop working, which could lead to an accident as well as damage to the transmission.
During high-speed driving on models with automatic transmission, do not switch the selector lever to positions 2 and 1, and on models with CVT and to position L, because. this could damage the engine.
With the selector lever in position D, depress the brake pedal.
If you stop on a hill, apply the parking brake.
If the stop is prolonged, move the selector lever to position N.
Car parking
1. Bring the vehicle to a complete stop.
2. Keeping the brake pedal depressed, apply the parking brake.
3. Move the selector lever to position P, and check the indicator for correct actions.
4. Stop the engine.
Attention: When you leave the car, be sure to set the selector lever to position P and turn off the engine. If you do not turn off the engine, and leave the selector lever in positions D, 2, 1, L, R, then the car may suddenly start moving, and if you mistakenly press the gas pedal, it will abruptly move away, which may cause an accident.
Reversing
When reversing, the driver's body turns around, so there is a possibility of erroneous pedal control. Take a position that provides reliable control of the brake pedal.
Do not forget to switch the selector lever to position N immediately after completing the reverse gear.
