There is a car ahead
The vehicle's speed changes to maintain the set distance.
Note: The speed changes within approx. 50-100 km/h.
No vehicle in front
The car smoothly accelerates to a given speed and moves at a constant speed.
The vehicle ahead indicator goes off.
Note:
If a car passes ahead while accelerating to the set speed, the system will switch back to distance-based control.
If you want to accelerate the car to the set speed faster than it will automatically do, press the accelerator pedal.
Changing the set speed
Attention: During cruise control, your vehicle is moving at the same speed as the vehicle in front. The vehicle cannot be accelerated by increasing the set speed by pressing the ACCEL/RES switch. However, you can set a speed higher than the current one, and when the car in front clears the lane, accelerate to the set speed. Monitor the display while changing the set speed.
Set speed increase
Pressing the ACCEL/RES switch increases the set speed in steps of 5 km/h.
The system display will show the set speed.
Set speed reduction
Pressing the SET/COAST switch decreases the set speed in steps of 5 km/h.
The system display will show the set speed.
Temporary acceleration or deceleration
Acceleration
Step on the gas pedal.
If you release the gas pedal, the vehicle speed will return to the set speed.
slowdown
Press the brake pedal. The vehicle will slow down and the system will turn off. The system will go into standby mode to set the new speed.
If you want to return to the mode that was set before the system was turned off, press the ACCEL/RES switch. The system display will show the reinstallation status.
Caution: Normally, during system operation, the vehicle will move at the same speed as the vehicle in front. However, when you change direction or when another vehicle wedged between you and the vehicle in front, the distance is greatly reduced. In such cases, depending on the situation, accelerate or slow down the vehicle by using the gas or brake pedals.
Changing the set distance
Depending on the driving conditions, you can change the set distance to the vehicle in front. Changing the distance is possible while the system is running or when it is in standby mode.
The distance is changed each time the distance setting button is pressed in the following sequence: large —› medium —› small —› large, etc.
Note:
The distance depends on the speed of the car, and the greater the speed, the greater the distance.
When driving at a speed of 100 km / h, the following distance values \u200b\u200bare set:
- Large: Approx. 60 m
- Medium: Approx. 50 m
- Small: approx. 40 m
After the engine stops, a longer distance will be set.
System shutdown
The system is deactivated by pressing the cancel button or the main switch.
When you press the cancel button, the system enters standby mode.
Pressing the main switch turns off the cruise control indicator and the display.
The system automatically enters standby mode in the following cases.
When you press the brake pedal.
Due to the deceleration of the vehicle in front, the speed of your vehicle is reduced by approx. up to 40 km/h (a beep sounds).
When the wiper operates in LO or HI mode (a beep sounds). When the wiper is in INT mode, the system is not disabled.
When the selector lever is in positions other than D.
While the ABS system is operating or while driving on a slippery road.
When the front of the car is lit by bright sunlight (a beep sounds).
To switch the system back on, turn it off briefly at the main switch and reinstall it.
Vehicle Approach Alert
If the distance becomes too short during system operation due to a sudden deceleration of the vehicle in front or another vehicle wedging in, an audible signal sounds and a warning symbol is displayed. In this case, press the brake pedal, slow down the speed and increase the distance.
When shortening the distance:
- An audible signal sounds at a long interval.
- The distance indicator flashes on the display.
In the event of a possible collision with a vehicle in front:
- An audible signal sounds at short intervals.
- The distance indicator flashes on the display.
Fault notification
If there is a malfunction in the distance control system, a single beep will sound and the cruise control malfunction indicator will illuminate on the instrument panel.
Attention:
If the indicator light comes on, park in a safe place and reinstall.
If after performing the above steps, installation does not occur and the indicator remains on, contact a service station.
Warnings. In the following cases, a single beep sounds and the following symbols appear on the display.
«C1»: Displayed when the radar sensor becomes dirty during operation of the system and it is not possible to measure the distance correctly.
If the display shows «C1», wipe the radar sensor area with a soft cloth, and reinstall. If the dirt has been removed naturally, the system will return to standby mode.
Attention: If, after removing the dirt, the symbol «C1» the display does not go out, contact the service station.
«C2»: Displayed when cruise control operation is not possible due to the following reasons.
While the ABS system is operating or while driving on a slippery road.
When the front of the car is lit by bright sunlight.
After the cause of the shutdown is removed, the system goes into standby mode.
Attention: If, after returning the car to normal operating conditions, the symbol «C2» the display does not go out, contact the service station.
Maintenance of the sensor site
For the correct operation of the adaptive cruise control system, follow these recommendations.
Keep the sensor area clean at all times.
If the sensor area is dirty, gently wipe it with a soft cloth.
Do not subject the radar sensor area to strong impacts. Also, do not touch the sensor direction adjustment screw. The direction of the sensor is adjusted at the service station.
Do not cover the sensor area with adhesive tape or install any accessories on it.
