Removal
1. Disconnect the battery from ground.
2. Drain the coolant.
3. Remove all belts.
4. Secure the coolant pump pulley by wrapping it with an old belt, unscrew the bolts and remove the pulley.
5. Unscrew the thermostat housing and carefully move it to the side without damaging the wiring. If necessary, disconnect the hoses and wires.
6. Remove the bolts and remove the pump by gently tapping or rocking to break the seal.
Examination
1. Check the condition of the housing and impeller, the radial and axial clearance of the pump shaft, and the freedom of rotation of the impeller.
2. The pump cannot be disassembled and is replaced as a single unit.
Installation
1. Clean the pump, the cylinder block split surface and the thermostat housing.

2. Apply sealant to the detachable surfaces of the pump (on the left – the pump with the cylinder block, on the right – the pump with the thermostat housing).
3. Install the pump and tighten the bolts to the specified torque.
4. Lubricate the threads of the two lower bolts with a locking compound.
5. Install the pulley, tighten the bolts to the specified torque.
6. Apply sealant to the detachable surface of the thermostat housing
7. Install the thermostat on the pump, tighten the bolts to the specified torque.
8. Put on the belts, adjust the tension.
9. Pour in the liquid.
10. Connect the battery to ground.
