Removal
1. Remove the rear window wiper arm from the vehicle. See "Removing and installing the rear window wiper arm, adjusting the wiper arm stop position".
2. Remove the seal from the axle.
3. Remove the rear door trim. See the BODY chapter.
4. Disconnect the connector from the rear window wiper motor.
5. Remove the rear window wiper motor mounting bolts (A) and remove the rear window wiper motor (1) from the vehicle.

Installation
Caution: Do not drop the rear window wiper motor or hit it with other parts.
1. Install the seal on the axle.
2. Install the rear window wiper motor to the vehicle.
Rear window wiper motor mounting bolts: Tightening torque: 5.0 N·m (0.50 kg·m)
3. Connect the connector to the rear window wiper motor. Turn on the motor with the wiper switch and then turn it off (automatic stop).
4. Install the rear door trim. See the BODY chapter.
5. Install the wiper arm onto the vehicle and replace the cap.
