Removal
1. Turn on the engine with the wiper switch and then turn it off (auto stop).
2. Remove the cap from the wiper arm and unscrew the mounting nut.
3. Lift the wiper arm and remove it from the vehicle.
Installation
1. Clean the wiper arm mounting area on the axle as shown in the figure. This will eliminate the possibility of play in the wiper arm.
2. Before installing the wiper lever, turn on the engine with the wiper switch and then turn it off (auto-stop).
3. Lift the blade up, then place it on the glass surface and align the center of the blade with the lower wire of the rear window defroster just before tightening the nut.
4. Tighten the wiper arm nut to the specified torque.

Rear window wiper arm mounting nut: Tightening torque: 7.0 N·m (0.71 kg·m)
5. Wet the glass with washing liquid. Turn on the engine with the wiper switch and then turn it off (auto stop).
6. Make sure the wiper blade stops within the lower wire of the rear window defroster.
7. Place the cap on the wiper arm.
