1. Observing safety measures, turn off the carriageway to the side of the road and stop the car.
2. Turn on the alarm.
3. Apply the parking brake.
4. On models with manual transmission, shift into neutral. If the car is equipped with an automatic transmission, move the selector lever to position P.
DO NOT STOP THE ENGINE.
5. Turn off the air conditioner (if available).
6. Open all windows.
7. Set the maximum heating mode for the air entering the passenger compartment. Turn on the heater fan to maximum air supply.
8. Get out of the car.
9. Before opening the hood, visually and aurally check for steam and coolant leaks from the radiator. Wait until steam escapes or coolant leakage stops completely.
10. Open the hood.
11. Make sure the fan is running.
12. Visually inspect the radiator and hoses for signs of coolant leakage.
Caution: Stop the engine if fluid is leaking, the fan drive belt is missing, or the fan is not running.
13. After the engine has cooled down, check the coolant level in the expansion tank (Engine running). Do not remove the radiator cap.
14. If the coolant level in the expansion tank is insufficient, remove the tank cap and slowly add liquid to it up to the MAX mark, and then replace the cap.
15. Close the hood.
Contact a service station to check and repair the car.
