Removal
Remove the oil filter using a wrench (special tool).

Attention:
- The oil filter is equipped with a bypass valve. Use a genuine NISSAN oil filter or equivalent.
- Avoid burning yourself on hot engine and engine oil.
- Before unscrewing, take a napkin and collect any spilled oil.
- Avoid getting engine oil on drive belts.
- Completely wipe away any oil that has spilled onto the engine and vehicle.

Installation
1. Remove foreign particles from the seating surface under the oil filter.
2. Apply engine oil around the circumference of the new oil filter seal.

Caution: Use a genuine NISSAN oil filter or equivalent.
3. Screw the oil filter in by hand until it touches the seating surface, then tighten it an additional 2/3 of a turn.

Post-installation check
1. Check the oil level. See section "Oil level and contamination".
2. Warm up the engine and check for oil leaks.
3. Turn off the engine and wait 10 minutes.
