Ovality and taper of crankshaft journals (Nissan Serena C24)

Using a micrometer, measure the diameters of all main and rod journals at 4 different points shown in the illustration.



Ovality is determined by the difference in size between axes A and B at points 1 and 2.

The taper is determined by the difference in size between points 1 and 2 along axes A and B.

• Maximum ovality: 0.003 mm
• Limit taper: 0.003 mm
