Examination
Check the resistance between contacts 1 and 2 of the solenoid.
- Resistance: approx. 35 Σ (at 20°C)
Apply battery voltage to solenoid terminals 1 and 2 and use a hand vacuum pump to check for continuity between ports A and B.
- No voltage applied: no conductivity
- Voltage is applied: there is conductivity
Removal
1. Disconnect the electrical connector and vacuum hoses.
2. Remove the exhaust valve solenoid.
