Examination
Remove carbon deposits from the valve and body.
Check the operation of the valve using a vacuum pump.
The damper should open and close smoothly.
Removal
1. Disconnect the vacuum hose.
2. Unscrew the mounting bolts and nuts.
3. Move the front and rear exhaust pipe flanges apart and remove the flap.
