When a new cylinder block is used:
1) Check the cylinder bore class on top of the block (1, 2 or 3) and select pistons of the same class.

Note: Pistons are installed complete with piston pins.
When a cylinder block is reused:
- 1) Measure the inner diameters of the cylinders.
- 2) According to the table below, according to the measurements obtained, select pistons of the same class.
Piston selection table
Unit: mm
Crankshaft journal diameter
Using a micrometer, measure the diameter of the crankshaft main journal.
(Read more on the website: «Nissanbook.ru»)

- Standard diameter: 54.956 - 54.980 mm
Crankshaft journal diameter
Using a micrometer, measure the diameter of the crankshaft journal.
- Standard diameter: 47.956-47.974 mm
Ovality and taper of crankshaft journals
Using a micrometer, measure all main and rod journals at 4 different points shown in the illustration.

Ovality is determined by the difference in size between axes A and B at points 1 and 2.
The taper is determined by the difference in size between points 1 and 2 along axes A and B.
- Maximum ovality: 0.005 mm
- Limit taper: 0.005 mm
