2. Tuning to the desired station that broadcasts traffic information is carried out in one of the following ways.
Setting by programming, automatic search and manual
3. The setting procedure is described in subsection 1.5.2.
Tuning by scanning across the entire range
4. When the TP symbol appears on the display (Traffic Program), it means that this station will broadcast traffic information and EON data.
5. The receiver switches to the TI band by pressing a button «TI». The symbol will then appear on the display «TI». If 20 seconds after pressing the button «TI» the receiver does not find a station, it will start searching for a station based on the list of alternative frequencies (AF list), which ends when a station is found. A sound signal and the SEARCH symbol on the display warn of the receiver switching to this mode.
6. If it is not possible to tune in to a station after a single scan over the entire range due to a weak signal, then the scan will be repeated, but with increased sensitivity, as indicated by the DX symbol on the display. If the signal is too weak, the receiver will stop searching and NOTHING will appear on the display for 2 seconds. If within another 20 seconds the receiver does not tune in to a TI-band station, the scan will start over.
7. When TI appears on the display, the receiver will only receive a TI station if it is tuned in by searching in automatic mode.
8. If traffic information is required and the station to which the receiver is tuned is broadcasting a different program, press and hold the TI button until the TA symbol appears on the display (Traffic Announcement). When this symbol appears, the receiver stops receiving all programs except traffic information, or if there is no traffic information transmission at the moment and a cassette is inserted into the player, then the player turns on, which automatically turns off when traffic information starts broadcasting. After the end of the transmission or if the signal becomes weak, the previous program is switched on.
9. To return to normal traffic mode, press and hold the TI button until the TA symbol disappears from the display.
Setting to Network Tracking Mode (NF mode).
10. Used to search for an RDS station in the entire
frequency band. Press the NF button and hold for no more than 2 seconds, while the receiver will tune in to the RDS station, and the received program will not be interrupted. The NF symbol will appear on the display. If reception conditions worsen, tuning to a station that broadcasts the same program will be made based on the list of alternative frequencies received from the RDS station
List of other EON networks (Enhanced Other Network)
11. If the RDS station (with EON data), that you are listening to is not broadcasting traffic information in TI and TA modes, the receiver will automatically switch to a program broadcasting traffic information based on the EON list of alternative frequencies. After the end of the transfer, the previous program is automatically switched on. Audible signals sound at the beginning and after switching.
12. To cancel the NF mode, press the NF button for at least 2 seconds. When the REGON symbol appears on the display, the receiver will tune in to an RDS station that has an identical program identification code (PI code). When the REG OFF symbol appears on the display, the receiver will tune in to an RDS station that has an identical three-digit PI code.
13. If within 60 seconds the receiver does not detect an RDS station, then all programs will be jammed and the search for a station with the same PI code will start based on the list of alternative frequencies (AF list). If a station cannot be found due to a weak signal, the search for all VHF stations will start again. A sound signal and the SEARCH symbol on the display warn about the transition of the receiver to this mode
14. If it is not possible to tune in due to a very weak signal, then the search stops and the NOTHING symbol appears on the display for 2 seconds. To cancel NF mode, press the NF button twice. The NF symbol will disappear from the display.
