Do not let the engine idle for more than 10 minutes at fast idle speed, and at normal idle speed – no more than 20 minutes.
The performance of your engine must be in order. Functional disturbances in the ignition system or in the fuel system can lead to very high heating of the catalytic converter.
Do not start the engine by towing your vehicle.
When the vehicle is in motion, do not turn off the ignition under any circumstances.
Do not idle the engine in areas where there is anything flammable, such as grass, leaves, paper or rags.
When the engine is running, people should not be near the exhaust pipe; the same applies to flammable objects. The exhaust gas has a very high temperature.
It is not recommended to "drive" the engine at full power.
Use only unleaded gasoline.
If the engine starts with difficulty or stalls frequently, you should have the car checked as soon as possible. To ensure the perfect functioning of the catalytic converter and the entire exhaust gas cleaning system, you should periodically check the car in accordance with the Nissan maintenance plan and perform technical maintenance.
