Removal
Flywheel - cars with manual transmission
1. Remove the gearbox, then remove the clutch assembly.

2. Secure the flywheel from turning by the toothed ring using a device (indicated by the arrow). For fixation, you can also use a corner, the end of which rests against the flywheel ring tooth and is secured with a bolt in the hole in the cylinder block.
3. Loosen and remove the flywheel mounting bolts. Take care not to drop the flywheel, as this part is heavy.
4. If necessary, remove the lining from the cylinder block, having previously marked its orientation. If the plate mounting pins become loose, remove the pins and store them together with the lining.

5. Remove the transmission.
6. Fix the drive disk (see item 2).
7. Loosen the drive disk mounting bolts and remove the disk limiting plate.
8. Remove the clutch installed between the drive disk and the crankshaft.
9. If necessary, remove the lining from the cylinder block, having previously marked the orientation of the lining. If the plate mounting pins become loose, remove the pins and store them together with the lining.
Checking the status
1. On vehicles with a manual transmission, check for deep grooves on the surface where the clutch disc meets the flywheel, check for chips and wear on the flywheel ring teeth. If cracks, traces of deep wear and other damage are found on the working surface, the flywheel should be replaced. However, the damaged surface can be sanded, but for this you need to consult with a Nissan service center or a specialist.
2. On vehicles with automatic transmission, carefully check for signs of deformation of the torque converter drive disk, also check for fine cracks starting at the bolt holes or cracks radiating from the center to the periphery. Check for chips and signs of wear on the ring teeth. If any signs of wear or damage are found, replace the drive disk.
