Note: After removal, only a new BCM, i.e. one that has never been connected to the on-board network, can be installed.
1. Remove the upper instrument panel section (see #3 in illustration Instrument cluster mounting and fastening components).
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable and remove the BCM wiring ties.
3. Loosen the nuts and remove the BCM.
4. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
