Radio Data System (RDS)
The Radio Data System (RDS) allows you to transmit additional information in encoded digital form along with the main FM radio signal. The RDS system supports many information service functions such as:
indication of the name of the radio station on the display, reception of traffic reports and local news, automatic search for a radio station broadcasting a program of a certain genre.
Note: Certain RDS service functions may not be available in some countries or regions
Alternative radio frequencies (AF)
Function «AF» selection of alternative frequencies of the radio signal can work in the FM radio band, as well as when playing records on a CD (if the system was previously operating in the FM band)
If the function is activated using the personalization menu «AF» (ON position - on), the indicator appears on the display «AF».
If the function is enabled «AF» the following service functions are performed:
Function of automatic retuning of a radio receiver. The radio receiver, comparing the power of radio signals at all alternative frequencies, automatically selects and tunes to the broadcast frequency that provides the best conditions for receiving radio transmission
EON Enhanced Network Data Update (This function also works when the function is disabled «AF»). Receiving EON data allows you to automatically retune the frequencies of pre-programmed stations to the same radio network. In addition, it becomes possible to use additional service functions provided by the network, such as receiving traffic reports. When the radio is tuned to an RDS station that is part of the EON extended network, the indicator lights up on the display «EON».
Function «PS» display the name of the radio station. Once the radio tunes in to an RDS radio station (manually or semi-automatically), RDS data reception starts and the name of the received station is displayed immediately.

The display shows the word for 5 seconds «TRAFFIC» (road communication), and after 5 seconds it is replaced by the name of the radio station. After the end of the traffic announcement, the audio system returns to the original operating mode in which it was at the time of the interruption to receive the traffic announcement. The audio volume level is also set to the original level. Reception of a radio program from a station in the extended EON network is automatically interrupted if a traffic report is also broadcast by an EON radio station. The traffic announcement interrupt function is terminated if the button is pressed during a traffic announcement «TA». Function «TA» enters standby mode and the audio system returns to the previous playback source.
