Check after removal
Check the following and replace parts if necessary:
Transverse suspension arm
Check the wishbone and bushings for deformation, cracks and damage.
Check the ball joint boot for cracks and other damage, as well as for grease leaks.
Ball joint
1. Shake the ball joint pin with your hand to check that it moves smoothly.
2. Shake the ball joint pin by hand at least ten times to make sure that there is no jamming.
3. Hook the spring dynamometer (A) to the hole in the ball joint pin (B). Note the dynamometer readings when the pin begins to deflect.

If the obtained value exceeds the maximum permissible values (see section "Service data and specification" at the end of the chapter), replace the suspension wishbone assembly.
4. Determine the play by moving the ball joint pin in the axial direction. There should be no play. If there is play, replace the transverse suspension arm assembly.
Post-installation check
1. Check the wheel alignment angles.
2. Adjust the neutral position of the steering wheel angle sensor.
