Attention.
- Before carrying out any repair or inspection work, make sure that the ignition is switched off (key in position "OFF") and the ground wire is removed from the battery. Opens/short circuits of the electrical circuits of the corresponding switches, sensors, solenoid valves and other similar devices will be accompanied by the inclusion of a malfunction indicator (MIL).
- After carrying out the work, make sure that the connection and fixing of the connectors are secure. Dropping out (fixation violation) connector can lead to broken contact in electrical circuits and turn on the fault indicator. (Make sure that the contacts on the connectors do not get water, grease, dirt, that the terminals are not bent, etc.).
- In some systems and components, especially those related to the on-board diagnostic system (OBD), a new type of connectors with locks are used on the wiring harnesses.
- After carrying out the work, route and secure the wiring harnesses in an appropriate way. Damage to the wires where they come into contact with the mounting brackets can cause a short circuit and turn on the fault indicator.
- After carrying out the work, make sure that the rubber tubes are properly connected. Incorrect connection or disconnection of the rubber tubes may cause the fault indicator to turn on (MIL) due to a malfunction of the EVAP system, fuel injection system or other systems.
- At the end of the work, be sure to delete from the memory of the electronic units TCM and ECM (transmission control unit) unnecessary information about previous failures.
