Attention. Checking the belts is carried out only on a cold engine&le or half an hour after it stopped.
1. Visually inspect the belt for wear, damage and cracks on the inside and edges.
2. Rotate the crankshaft pulley clockwise twice to ensure all pulleys are rotating before checking the belt tension.
3. Apply a force of 98 N (10 kg) at the location marked with an arrow in the figure.
1. Generator.
2. Water pump.
3. Crankshaft pulley.
4. Air conditioning compressor drive pulley (models with air conditioning system) or intermediate pulley (models without air conditioning).
5. Tension the pulley.
6. Drive belt.
4. Measure the drive belt deflection using a special device at the point marked with an arrow in the figure.
