Note: The following describes how to install the engine on a disassembly stand using the support surface on the gearbox side. When using a stand of a different design, necessary differences must be taken into account.
1. Remove the engine with gearbox assembly from the vehicle and disconnect the gearbox from the engine.
2. Remove the clutch basket and disc.
3. Secure the flywheel with the locking plate (KV11105210) and unscrew the mounting bolts.
Attention.
- Do not disassemble the flywheel.
- Do not place the flywheel or drive disk with the pulse disk facing down.
- Be careful when handling the pulse disc to avoid damaging or scratching it.
- Avoid exposing the pulse disk to magnetized objects and electromagnetic fields.
4. Lift the engine with a winch and install it on a disassembly stand.
Attention: It is necessary to use a sgend for disassembling the ddigagel of the corresponding lifting capacity (approximately 135 kg or more). If the disassembly load is less than required, it is necessary to remove some components from the engine before installing it on the stand: intake manifold, exhaust manifold, rocker cover.
Note: The illustration shows the most common design of engine disassembly stand, which uses the bearing surface of the cylinder block on the gearbox side with the flywheel removed.

Caution: Before removing the winch slings from the engine, make sure that the disassembly stand is installed securely and there is no risk of tipping over.
5. Drain the engine oil.
6. Drain the engine coolant by unscrewing the drain plug (1) from the inside of the engine.

Note.
- The arrow in the figure indicates the front of the engine.
