Examination
Check the parking brake lever assembly for bending, damage or cracks and replace if necessary.
Check the cables and compensator for wear and damage. If a fault is found, replace the relevant component.
Check the parking brake indicator switch. If a fault is found, replace the corresponding component.
Check whether the components are deformed by contact with other parts. If a fault is found, replace the corresponding component.
Caution: Adjust the cable after completing the work.
