Checking the intake manifold for warpage
Connect the hand vacuum pump to the drive, close the air swirl control valve, pumping out the air.
Using a ruler and feeler gauge, check the mounting surface for warpage.
- Warpage Limit: 0.1mm
Checking the operation of the air swirl control valve
Connect a hand vacuum pump to the actuator and check that the valve operates smoothly when pumping air and that it maintains a vacuum.
Standard data:
- Valve opening start: approx. -8 kPa (-60 mm Hg.)
- End of valve movement: approximately -27 kPa (-200 mm Hg.)
