Removal and installation
Installing the accelerator pedal
Attention:
Do not bend or scratch the center of the accelerator cable.
During assembly, apply grease to all parts except for the accelerator cable.
Make sure that when you press the accelerator pedal, it does not come into contact with adjacent parts.
Examination
Checking pedal operation
Press the accelerator pedal to the stop, while the throttle drum should open completely. The pedal travel must be free.
Make sure the accelerator pedal returns to its original position after it is released.
Adjustment
Accelerator cable adjustment
Attention:
Adjustment is carried out on a warm engine, during its operation at idle speed.
Loosen the locknut located at the cable attachment point. Tighten the adjusting nut until the throttle drum begins to move. From this position, unscrew the adjusting nut back 1.5-2 turns and secure this position with a lock nut.
Caution: While tightening the locknut, use a wrench to secure the adjusting nut so that it does not turn. Tighten the locknut so as not to rotate the insulator.
