Disassembly

1. Remove the fuel level sensor.
(1) To avoid mistakes during subsequent assembly, apply alignment marks to the sensor and the fuel filter rim. Apply marks so that they are not washed off by fuel.
(2) Tilt the fuel level sensor so that the latches securing the O-ring can be released.

Note: The O-ring seal isolates the fuel level sensor from the fuel tank.
(3) Pull the sensor out of the fuel filter.
(4) Disconnect the wiring connector and remove the sensor.

2. Separate the fuel filter and fuel pump.
(1) To avoid mistakes during subsequent assembly, apply alignment marks to the filter and pump bracket rim. Apply marks so that they are not washed off by fuel.
(2) Use a screwdriver to lift the latches at four places as shown in the figure, release the latches and separate the filter and pump.

Assembly
Assembly is carried out in the reverse order of disassembly, taking into account the following:
Install the gasket on the fuel pump side as shown in the illustration at the beginning of the section.
Securely tighten the fuel pump wiring connector.
Install the fuel level sensor and fuel pump on the bracket, aligning them with the installation marks. Insert them so that the latches lock into place with an audible click.
