Models with YD25DDTi engine
- Replacement frequency: every 60,000 km or every 5 years
Removal
1. Remove the air duct and air cleaner housing.
2. Disconnect the two fuel hoses.
Caution: Cap the hoses to prevent fuel from leaking.
3. Disconnect the water level indicator lamp sensor connector.
4. Using a suitable key (diameter 96 mm) remove the fuel filter.
Caution: Do not spill fuel. Be careful not to let it come into contact with the engine mount insulators.
5. Remove the water level indicator lamp sensor from the fuel filter.
Installation
Install in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following.
Replace the water level indicator lamp sensor O-ring with a new one.
Tighten the fuel filter until the gasket touches the sealing surface, then tighten it another ⅔ of a turn.
After installing the fuel filter, bleed the fuel using a fuel pump.
