Examination
Remove the distributor from the engine (leave the connector connected). Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position.
Slowly rotate the crankshaft angle sensor shaft by hand and check the voltage between contacts 3 and 4 and ground.
- 4 - "mass" (180° signal): Approx. 0.1 or 5V
- 3 - "mass" (signal 1°): Approx. 0.1 or 5V
To avoid the injectors from turning on, remove the fuel pump fuse. Depending on the method of turning the axle, the results of the male diagnostics may be different. This is normal.
Removal and installation
1. Disconnect the wiring connector.
2. Remove the cover from the distributor.
