Removing
1. Remove the air duct and air cleaner housing.
2. Disconnect the wiring connector.
3. Remove the sensor and throttle switches.
Installation is carried out with the following in mind:
Insert the sensor into the throttle body so that the connector is in the position shown in the figure. Rotate the sensor in the direction of the arrow and tighten the fixing screw.
After making the adjustments described below, tighten the fastener to the required torque.
Adjustment
1. After attaching the throttle sensor, connect the connector and warm up the engine.
2. Leave the engine running at idle. (or with the engine off, disconnect the vacuum hose from the throttle opener and apply vacuum from the hand vacuum pump). Insert feeler gauges of the following thickness between the adjusting lever and the throttle drum. Disconnect the switch connector and, moving the throttle sensor, make an adjustment by measuring the resistance between pins 1 and 2.
- Stylus thickness 0.2 mm: 0 Σ (contact x.x. closed)
- Stylus thickness 0.3 mm: infinity Σ (contact x.x. open)
Caution: Do not turn the throttle adjusting screw.
3. Tighten the throttle sensor mounting bolt.
4. Repeat the check described in point 2.
5. Using the CONSULT wizard, make sure that the «DATA MONITOR» paragraph «CLOSED THL/SW» (idle state) switches to the ON position.
Switch the state x.x. from the OFF position (engine speed high) to the ON position by repeatedly turning the ignition key from the ON to the OFF position in 4-5 seconds.
(The standard ON/OFF switching frequency is 3-10 times).
6. Start the engine and make sure that the speed x.x. at the normal level. If the speed x.x. non-standard, do the procedure for learning to supply air at idle speed, see above.
