Examination
Remove the sensor (without disconnecting the connector).
Blow air from the air cleaner side (ignition key in the ON position) and check the change in output voltage between contact 1 and ground.
- Air not supplied: 1V
- When supplying air flow: 1.3V (the stronger the stream, the greater the voltage)
When air is supplied from the duct side, the voltage decreases.
Removal
1. Disconnect the electrical wiring connector.
2. Remove the upper air cleaner housing together with the air mass flow sensor assembly.
3. Remove the sensor from the upper air cleaner housing.
