Examination
Remove the sensor (without disconnecting the connector).
Turn the ignition key to the ON position, blow air from the air cleaner housing and check the change in output voltage between contact No.1 of the sensor and ground.
- No air flow: approx. 1V
- When air is supplied: approx. 1.5V (The greater the air flow, the higher the voltage).

Note: When the air flow is supplied from the air duct side, the voltage decreases.
Removal
1. Disconnect the connector.
2. Remove the upper air cleaner housing with the air mass flow sensor.
3. Remove the sensor from the upper air cleaner housing.
