Opening the hood
1. Pull the hood latch release handle (1) located on the left under the instrument panel towards you.
2. To finally release the hood, press the additional lock (2) and pull the hood up.
Note: Make sure that the wiper arms are not pulled away from the glass beforehand.
3. Fix the hood in the open position using the stand (3).
4. Before closing the hood, make sure that there are no tools, rags or other foreign objects left in the engine compartment.

5. To close, fold the hood retaining rod back into place and then release it. To check that the hood is securely locked in the closed position, pull it up by the front edge.
Note: To avoid damaging the paintwork, do not press the loosely closed hood with your hands; the correct way is to open it again and release it from a small height.
