When replacing components other than the compressor
1. To adjust the amount of refrigerant after replacing the evaporator, condenser or receiver-dryer, add compressor oil with a volume equal to the sum of the volume of the drained refrigerant and respectively 35, 15 or 5 cm3. When replacing two or more components, only the additional volumes are summed up, not the volumes of the drained refrigerant.
When replacing the compressor
1. Drain compressor oil from the high and low pressure ports of the removed compressor and measure the oil volume.
2. Drain the oil from the new compressor (A), calculated by the formula A = 60 - B - C. In this formula, B means the volume obtained in the previous paragraph, and C means the volume of oil that left the system along with the refrigerant when the system was discharged.
