When replacing components other than the compressor
1. To adjust the amount of refrigerant after replacing the evaporator, condenser or receiver-dryer, add compressor oil in a volume equal to the sum of the volume of refrigerant released and 35, 15 or 5 cm³, respectively. When replacing two or more components, only the additional volumes are summed up, but not the volumes of refrigerant released.
When replacing the compressor

1. Drain the compressor oil from the high and low pressure ports of the removed compressor and measure the oil volume.
2. Drain oil from the new compressor in a volume (A) calculated using the formula A = 60 – B – C. In this formula, B is the volume obtained in the previous step, and C is the volume of oil that left the system together with the refrigerant when the system was discharged.
