The vehicles considered in this Manual have front-wheel drive. Torque is transmitted to the wheels from the differential via drive shafts. The variable angle of inclination of the drive shafts is achieved by means of internal and external constant velocity joints (CV joints) placed in protective covers. The right drive shaft is longer than the left one, therefore a torsional vibration damper is installed on it to eliminate beating.
The front wheel hub bearings are pressed into the steering knuckles, and the rear wheel bearings are pressed into the hub assemblies.
