Hub assembly
1 - Back plate; 2 - Spindle; 3 - ABS wheel sensor rotor; 4 - Wheel bearing; 5 - Retaining ring; 6 - Brake drum; 7 - Hub nut cap
1. Jack up the vehicle and place it on stands. Remove the appropriate wheel and apply the parking brake.
2. Remove the hub nut cap.
3. Loosen the hub nut and remove the brake drum from the spindle.
4. Remove the wheel sensor rotor.
5. Loosen the self-locking nut and separate the parking brake cable from the brake mechanism (see Chapter Brake system).
6. Disconnect the brake pipe from the wheel brake cylinder.
Note: Do not press the brake pedal with the brake drum removed and the brake pipe disconnected.
7. Unscrew the spindle mounting bolts and separate it together with the rear plate from the suspension arm.
8. Installation is carried out in reverse order, if necessary, refer to Chapter Brake system. After installation, bleed the brake system (see Chapter Vehicle settings and routine maintenance).
