Removal
1. Remove the rear door trim. See section "Exterior finishing".
2. Disconnect the connectors from the rear door and remove the wiring clamps.
3. Secure the rear door lock with a suitable material to prevent it from falling out. Use a screwdriver, etc. to disengage the rear door pillar hooks (gas-filled strut) from the door side and remove the rack from the ball joint.
4. Remove the hinge mounting bolts on the rear door and remove the rear door assembly.
Installation
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
Examination
1. Check the hinges and make sure:
- do they make unusual noise and is the force when closing and opening the door normal?;
- is there any wear or damage to components
2. Apply body grease to the rotating area of the hinge.
