Removal
1. Remove the rear door trim. See section "Rear door trim".
2. Remove the nuts securing the license plate trim to the rear door panel.
3. Pull the license plate trim downwards and disengage the retaining clips from the rear door panel.
4. Remove the left (1) and right (2) license plate lights from the holder (3) and disconnect the wiring connector.
5. Remove the screws securing the holder to the license plate trim (5) and disconnect the rear door lock switch actuator (4).
6. Disconnect the license plate light and rear door lock switch actuator wiring from the bracket.
Note: To simplify installation, mark the locations of wiring and components.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
- Before installing the tailgate trim, close the tailgate and check that the tailgate lock switch actuator operates properly.
- Check that the left and right license plate lights are working properly.
