Opening the hood (Nissan Note E11)

1. Pull the hood release handle ①, which is located at the bottom left of the instrument panel, towards you. This will lift the front edge of the hood slightly. The illustration shows the left-hand drive version.

2. Use your fingers to push the safety latch lever ②, which is located under the front edge of the hood (see fig.), to the side and lift the hood.



3. Insert the end of the support post ③ into the socket made on the bottom side of the cover.

4. Before closing the hood, put the support pillar back in place. Then slowly close the hood. Make sure the hood is securely latched.
