2. Disconnect the cable from the damper body (photo).
5.2a To disconnect the throttle or cruise control cable, unscrew the nuts and remove the cable sheath. Then tighten the couplings on the cable loops and remove the cables.

3. Pull the cuff towards you and remove the cable from the slot in the bracket (photo).

4. Loosen the guide tube bolts and pull the cable through the baffle (photo).

5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Lubricate the seal with grease. Check the operation of the cable by pressing the pedal - the damper should open completely. Adjust the cable by turning the cable sheath nut. On vehicles with automatic transmission, when the pedal is depressed, the low gear (kick-down switch) should be fully retracted.
6. On vehicles with cruise control (automatic speed controller) adjust the throttle cable first, then the governor cable.
