Removal
1. Loosen the lock nuts and remove the cable from the adjustment bracket.
2. Turn the lever to move the throttle valve to the fully open position. Using the resulting slack, disconnect the cable from the lever.
3. In the car, release the tabs and remove the plastic cable sleeve from the top of the gas pedal lever. Release the cable core from the lever.
4. Loosen the cable bracket mounting bolts.
5. Pull the throttle cable through the engine compartment bulkhead into the vehicle interior.
6. Check the cable core and sheath for signs of wear, damaged threads and pins. Replace the cable if necessary.
Installation
Installation is carried out in reverse order.
1. To avoid the formation of pegs, try not to twist the rope or bend it too much.
2. Make sure the plastic sleeve is installed correctly at the top of the gas pedal lever.
Adjustment
1. Make sure the manual throttle cable is fully released.
2. Have an assistant fully depress the accelerator pedal and make sure that the throttle actuator rod is in the fully open position.
