Removing
1. Loosen the locknuts and remove the cable from the adjustment bracket.
2. Turn the lever to move the throttle to the fully open position. Using the resulting slack, disconnect the cable from the lever.
3. In the car, release the tabs and remove the plastic cable bushing from the top of the gas pedal lever. Release the cable core from the lever.
4. Give bolts of fastening of an arm of a cable.
5. Retract the throttle cable through the bulkhead of the engine compartment into the vehicle interior.
6. Check the cable core and sheath for signs of wear, damaged threads and peg. Replace cable if necessary.
Installation
Installation is in the reverse order.
1. To avoid the formation of pegs, try not to twist the cable or bend it too much.
2. Track correctness of installation of the plastic plug in the top part of the lever of a pedal of gas.
Adjustment
1. Make sure the hand throttle cable is fully released.
2. Have an assistant fully depress the gas pedal and make sure the throttle linkage is in the fully open position.
3. If necessary, loosen the locknuts and adjust the cable length accordingly.
4. When properly adjusted, the throttle should be fully open with the gas pedal pressed to the floor.
5. The released pedal should have a free play of 1÷3 mm. A slight slack should also have a cable core on the throttle actuator rod on the carburetor.
