Attention.
- Replace the drive belt with a new one after each removal.
- The automatic drive belt tensioner and idler pulley should be replaced with new ones every time the drive belt is changed.
- Do not run the engine without a drive belt to avoid damage to the crankshaft pulley.
Removal
1. Remove the drive belt.
Note: Do not remove the locking pin after the drive belt has been removed.
2. Remove the automatic drive belt tensioner.
3. Remove the cover and idler pulley.
4. Remove the multifunctional support bracket:
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
- Remove the generator.
- Remove the air conditioning compressor from the engine without disconnecting the lines. Temporarily secure the compressor to the car body with a rope to relieve the hoses and pipes.
- Remove the multifunctional support bracket.
Note: Loosen the mounting bolts in the reverse order to that shown in the figure. Tighten the bolts in the order shown in the figure.
The arrow points towards the front of the engine.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
